How Solar Works
When sun light hits the photovoltaic cells, the sunlight is converted into DC current.
The DC current is generated by the PV modules and fed through the electrical circuit from the Solar Array and the Inverter.
The Inverter is powered by the grid with AC power (like any other electrical appliance). The inverter's purpose is to convert the DC electricity into the AC electricity which will be available for your home's consumption before passing back through a meter and into the grid.
If a Hybrid Inverter and a battery are installed the DC current will travel straight to the battery storage. This configuration is called a 'DC Coupled Battery System' and is the most efficient, because the DC power generated by the solar panels will only be converted once before being consumed by household appliances.
AC Couple Battery Systems need to convert the energy 3 times before consuming the stored energy. Resulting in lower efficiency rating but far more flexibility when it comes to retro fitting one any time!

Step 3. Book a Site Inspection with Stu. An assessment is required to ensure a full scope of the structural integrity, methods and materials required for installation.
Step 4. Meet your Solar Designer & Installer, customise your solar installation.
Step 5. Pay Deposit - Order parts & Book your installation date.
Step 6. Installation & Commission System - Certification - Final Payment - Set up Monitoring and Hand over to you!
Step 7. Quality and Assurance Check In.
Rebate
New Energy Tech Consumer Code (NETCC) Authorised Retailers such us, Solar Coaster, are eligible to trade Small-Scale Technology Certificates (STC's) on behalf of the client. This will be shown as a credit on the tax invoice, labelled 'STC'. The Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme is only operating until 2030. The rebate is calculated by the amount of carbon emissions your solar will off-set before 2030. So, each year the amount you can claim decreases, meaning, the longer you wait, the less rebate you get! Bottom line: If you're serious about being green and saving some money long term, don't wait, act now.
